New Testament

II Corinthians Chapter 6

We urge, as co-workers, that you spurn not God's grace,
He says: "I've heard and helped; salvation's now in place!"
While giving none cause to "bad-talk" us, we endure
Hardships, beatings, jail, watchings, fastings; living pure;
Armed with knowledge, kindness, the Holy Ghost, true love,
God's Word of truth, pow'r, and full armour from above;
Through good and bad reports, deemed imposters, yet true,
In straits, yet surviving, in pain, yet joyful too,
Poor, yet making rich, naught, yet all in possession!
O Corinthians, open your hearts as we've done!
Be not unequally yoked - stay pure, you're God's own
Dwelling temple, sons and daughters - be His alone.
