New Testament

II Corinthians Chapter 10

When with you, I've been timid, but plea, when I come,
That I won't have to speak sternly, for there are some
Who think we walk worldly - our weapons are not so,
But mighty, pulling down strongholds, each thought, each foe!
Judge not by looks; we're as much Christ's as you may be,
And I need not flaunt my God-giv'n authority.
Some say my letters are "weighty", my presence "weak" -
Such may find that when we come, "weighty" deeds will speak!
We don't compare ourselves with the self-exalted,
Nor can, re boasting beyond our work, be faulted,
But he who glories, let him glory in the Lord -
For the Lord chooses (we don't!) whom He will reward.
