New Testament

I Corinthians Chapter 7

It's good to be single, but if strong desires tempt,
Then marry, where none should withhold, save by consent.
I prefer singleness, but marry if you "must",
And if your partner's unsaved, the tie need not bust.
The saved one "sanctifies" his or her kids and spouse;
And (who knows?) may bring salvation to the whole house.
Abide as when first called: circumcised, bond, or free,
If single, stay so - my feelings personally!
This world'll pass, and married ones might tend to their wives,
And not focus on pleasing the Lord in their lives.
Marriage is good, but young singles, and widows too,
May serve the Lord better single, in my own view.
