On mount transfigured, while Peter, James and John balked,
Christ, shining bright, with Elijah and Moses talked!
"Let's build tents!" Peter cried. "Hear my Son!" a voice said.
Christ warned: "Keep this mum till I'm risen from the dead!"
Next, when His men had failed, Jesus from a child cast
A demon and urged: "For such one must pray and fast!"
He foretold His death, baffling His men with His words.
They argued who was top; He said: "the one who serves!"
Then they stopped one casting out devils in Christ's name -
"Don't! Those not against us are for us!" said Christ plain.
"If hand or foot offends, cut if off!", they were told.
"Better to enter God's kingdom maimed than hell whole!"
