New Testament

II Timothy Chapter 3

Perilous last days will bring selfish, greedy men,
Callous, disobeying parents, proud, blaspheming,
Lying, slandering, fierce, who'll deem the righteous odd,
Treacherous, conceited, they'll love pleasures, not God;
Godlike, but denying God's pow'r...shun such! Loose,
They creep into houses, and foolish women seduce.
As Egypt's magicians withstood Moses, e'en so,
Corrupt, these fight the truth, and will no further go.
But you know my life-style, how I've had to endure
Persecution - which plagues all who in Christ live pure.
Though sin rise, hold to your roots; know what Scripture saith:
Inspired, it'll perfect to good works and saving faith.
