Through his faith, and not his works, was Abraham blessed,
As written: "His faith was "counted for righteousness".
Of such a one, undeserving, but forgiven,
David wrote: "Blessed is the man whose sin God's covering."
Uncircumcised, with world inheritance promised,
His faith, not judgmental law, brought God's kiss.
Because of that, the promise is sure, and by grace
Comes to us, Abraham's children by faith, not race.
Faith strong, Abraham praised God. A century old "tomb",
He pondered this not, nor the state of Sarah's womb.
We're made right too if our faith is Abraham-like
In God who raised up Jesus for our respite.
