Let the strong bear up the weak, build up each other,
Even as Christ received us, receive your brother.
Christ ministers to the Gentile, not just the Jew,
As writ in Scripture; so receive each other too.
I speak as minister to the Gentiles abroad,
Causing them to offer acceptably to God.
Christ, by mighty signs and wonders through me has reached
Remote parts where before the gospel was not preached.
For many years now, I've much desired to see you,
And when I'm bound for Spain, I should be passing through.
First, I go to Jerusalem, Greek gifts envoy;
Pray that I 'll come safely from thence to you with joy.
