New Testament

Acts Chapter 9

Saul, backed by the high priest, en route to Damascus
To persecute Christians, saw a bright light: Jesus!
"Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" he heard, dazed.
Led to Damascus, he fasted, blind, for 3 days.
Then one Ananias, by a vision guided,
Laid hands on him, and the Lord his sight provided.
Saved he preached Christ! When Jews schemed his death, by night Saul
Was basket-lowered by saints down the city wall!
In Jerusalem he was shunned, but Barnabas,
Vouched for him - they took him, for safety, to Tarsus.
Peter healed palsy, in Lydda, of Aeneas,
And raised from the dead, in Joppa, good-works Dorcas.
