Peter and John went up to the Temple to pray,
Passing Gate Beautiful at 3 pm that day
When a man lame from the womb asked alms. Peter said,
"I've no gold, but rise, walk in Jesu' Name instead!"
He lifted him up, and his ankle bones grew strong,
Walking, leaping and praising God he went along!
All were amazed, but Peter said "Why marvel ye?"
"It's not by our pow'r, but through Jesus, that this be.
He's risen; we're witnesses, therefore now repent
Before He whom you killed comes again, from heav'n sent!
Moses said "A prophet just like me shall God raise" -
The prophets all foretold these restoration days."
