Acts Chapter 21

   

We sailed to Tyre; stayed a week; Spirit-led saints said
To Paul: "Don't go to Jerusalem!", and ahead
At Caesarea, by evangelist Philip,
Agabus the prophet also warned 'gainst the trip.
He took Paul's girdle, tied himself and said: "E'en so
The wearer will be bound!" But Paul was set to go.
At Jerusalem James, and the elders Paul met,
Said: "Keep the law - others think you spread disrespect -
Aim for peace." Paul did, but Asian Jews, foes, made fuss
Thinking, wrongly, that he'd brought a Greek, Trophimus,
In the Temple. Paul was nigh mob-killed! Rescued (just!)
By the chief Roman guard, and chained, he spoke up thus:
