On the day of Pentecost came a mighty wind -
Filled all the house where the disciples were sitting.
Fire-like cloven tongues sat on each of the host -
They spoke with other tongues, filled by the Holy Ghost.
The Jews around who were born in nations abroad
Heard in their own languages the great works of God.
They were all amazed, and some said "These men are drunk!"
Peter said "It's but 9 a.m., your theory's sunk!"
He then preached a sermon that the way of truth paved -
It had such an impact three thousand souls got saved!
They were baptized and in fellowship continued
While from the apostles signs and wonders ensued.
