New Testament

Acts Chapter 14

Many Jews and Greeks were saved in Iconium,
But unbelieving Jews stirred up persecution.
The apostles, lest they be stoned, left there and came
To Lystra, where a cripple was healed, from birth lame!
They were hailed gods, and scarce halted sacrifices
Being made to them - rent their clothes in the crisis.
By Jews from Antioch and Iconium led,
A crowd stoned Paul, dragged him away, left him for dead!
Circled by saints, he revived, and with Barnabas
Went to Derbe; then they retraced steps, and thus
Returned to their church in Antioch, Syria,
Through Pamphylia, Perga, and Attalia.
