Teach servants to pay masters, saved or not, respect; Those who shun such truths are a proud, quarrelsome, sect! Gain's not godly - godliness with contentment's gain! We brought naught to this world, and carry out the same! Let's be content with food and clothes; those who hoard loot Are snared - of all sin, the love of money's the root! Store instead right living, faith, love, patience, meekness; Fight faith's good fight, hold to the calling you confess. Keep these truths til Christ comes, Who in His time will show, The One Who dwells in light near which no man may go. Warn the rich of pride - let them rich in good works be; Guard what's in your care; avoid strife. Grace be with thee.
