Follow our commandments, in sanctification
Possess your vessels in honour; avoid fornication.
Lust not, as unbelieving Gentiles, nor defraud,
You're called to holiness by an avenging God.
Despise not - you're Spirit-filled, and re your brother
I need not teach you (God does!) love one another.
You show love to the Macedonian brethren,
But show e'en more; study, work, walk upright before men.
As for the dead, take comfort; those that sleep in Christ
God'll bring back with Jesus, likewise raised to new life.
With a shout, archangel's voice, and trump He'll appear;
The dead in Christ, then us, will meet Him in the air.
