Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy: God's grace, and peace,
To the Thessalonians - for whom we don't cease
To give God thanks, praying for you, as we reflect
On your faith, love, and patient hope as God's elect.
We preached to you both by word and holy Ghost pow'r,
Which you received with much joy and trials that hour;
In Macedonia and Achaia good vibes
Have since been spread through the example of your lives.
Indeed, in every place news of your faith has spread,
So that naught about you by us needs to be said.
It's well known how through us you turned to Christendom,
And, through Jesus, have been spared from the wrath to come.
