For this reason, I Paul, Christ's prisoner for you
Who of this mystery has received knowledge, new,
That the gospel should come to the Gentles this hour,
Which I, less than the least, preach by God's grace and pow'r,
So that to angelic hosts, what was once concealed
Might through the church and God's great wisdom be revealed:
His eternal plans in Christ, in Whom we are bold!
So mark not my trials for you, they your glory hold
For this reason I pray God strengthens from above,
That Christ dwells in you, and roots you in His love.
Now to Him Who can do far more than we implore
Be glory in the church by Christ for evermore.
