The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack thereby,
In green pastures He maketh me down to lie.
I am led by Him beside waters that are still,
And when I'm there, He restoreth my soul at will.
For His Name's sake, He in righteousness' paths will steer.
Though I walk death's dark vale, no evil will I fear -
For Thou art with me, thy rod and staff comforting,
And a table before me thou art preparing.
In the presence e'en of my enemies and foes,
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Goodness and mercy'll follow me always for sure,
And I will dwell in the Lord's house for evermore.
