Three women came to Christ's tomb early Sunday morn,
With spices to anoint His body. Hope was born:
From open tomb they heard a man clothed in white say
"He's risen, He's not here - behold the place He lay!"
"Go tell His men He comes!" The women fled the tomb!
Christ was seen first by Mary Magdalene, out of whom
He'd cast seven devils; next He was seen by two
On countryside walk, but His own men said "not true!"
Until He came, chiding unbelief. His last words:
"Go, preach the gospel; signs will follow believers:
They'll cast out devils, speak with new tongues, the sick cure!"
Christ then ascended. The word spread - His men made sure!
