New Testament

I Corinthians Chapter 9

Am I not an apostle (you're proof!) who's seen Christ?
Can't Barnabas and I, like others, take a wife,
And need we work? Which soldier, just self-funded, fights?
Don't owners of flocks and vineyards have produce rights?
"Don't muzzle the ox that treads the corn", Moses writ,
And those who plow or thresh should thereby benefit.
Likewise those who preach the gospel should from it live,
But I've not charged you, nor write these things so you'll give.
I'm all things to all, now Jew, now Gentile, now weak,
That I might by all means save some souls when I speak.
For a crown that'll rust, athletes train hard, run, and bout,
For an eternal I'll give all - lest I miss out!
