We've God's peace by faith in Christ, rejoicing in Him,
For e'en in trials, our hearts are patient, hoping.
This hope bears fruit, because God's Spirit is within,
Spreading the love shown by Christ when He died for sin.
While we were weak, Christ shed His blood for us sinners,
Though one would scarce give one's life, even for winners.
From Adam to Moses death reigned, the fault of one,
But through one man again, Christ, this offence is gone.
The law came so sin more apparent would become,
But grace has received greater magnification.
Sin brought death; now eternal life is the award
Of grace through righteousness by Jesus Christ our Lord.
