We'd reached Malta; the natives there, kind, a fire lit. Paul, putting wood he'd gathered on, was viper-bit! "Murd'rer!" they thought, "who drowned not! We justice applaud!" When Paul lived, they changed their minds - said he was a god! He healed their chief's father, sick with fever and pain, And others too! Giv'n many gifts, we sailed again. Going to Rome, we met many believers in Christ, There, guarded, Paul met the leading Jews, shared his life. Some believed on Christ, not others. Paul said, with fire: "You've eyes and ears, but don't see or hear - Isaiah Foretold this! Know the Gentiles will instead be reached!" For two years, in rented house, he boldly Christ preached.
