New Testament

Luke Chapter 18

"If an unrighteous Judge," Christ said, "will accede to
A widow's constant demands, then won't God hear you?"
He spoke of a Pharisee and a publican:
The first prayed: "I thank you, God, I'm not like THAT man!"
The other: "Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner!",
Christ dubbed the latter, non-self-righteous, the winner.
His men hindered children being brought to be blessed -
"Of such is God's Kingdom!" Christ chided! "Give access!"
A rich ruler asked how to gain eternal life,
Who obeyed the law. "Sell all, follow Me!" said Christ.
He left, sad. Christ spoke of the true wealth His own know,
Foretold His death; healed a blind man near Jericho.
