I was handed a measuring reed like a rod,
And told "use it to measure the temple of God,
Which the Gentiles for forty two months will possess
And also will prophesy my two witnesses",
They've the power to spit fire, bring plagues, and stop rain -
Until, through the beast from the bottomless pit slain
Three and a half days in Jerusalem they'll lie,
But, while their foes watch, ascend to heav'n through the sky!
A great earthquake will then slay seven thousand men!
The seventh trumpet blew; great voices declared then
The kingdoms of earth those of our Lord, and His Christ,
While the elders worshipped, with lightning and hail rife.
