To sum up: our High Priest, on Majesty's right hand,
Serves in the true tabernacle God pitched, not man.
Like every High Priest, He must an off'ring proffer,
But He can't on earth, where priests already offer
Gifts by the law, who shadow things heavenly
Shown Moses, which he was admonished to copy.
He's the mediator of a better cov'nant -
The first, being faulty, God said "I will supplant,
Israel broke the old, but now on hearts - their own -
I'll write a new cov'nant, whereby I will be known.
In this I'll show mercy, rememb'ring sins no more"-
This new covenant nullifies the one before.
