Every High Priest from man who's serving in God's Name
Being weak himself, has compassion on the same,
Off'ring for sins of others, and self, anointed
As was Aaron, of God, but not self-appointed.
E'en so Christ made not Himself, but was God-elect,
Priest for e'er after the order of Melchizedek.
As man, He prayed with strong tears, and was heard by Him
Who taught His own Son obedience through suff'ring.
Made thus perfect, source of salvation eternal,
Called High Priest by God - of Him we speak, to ears dull.
You who should be teachers, first lessons must repeat,
Babes in God's Word, needing milk,instead of strong meat.
