If not heeding the word of angels brought tough fines,
We dare not neglect the Lord's word, confirmed with signs.
Still, no angel will rule in the future, but man
Created but a lil' lower, will take command.
We don't see this yet, but we see Jesus instead
Lowered to suffer and die for us, our crowned head.
The One for and by whom are all things, elected
That our Captain by sufferings be perfected.
One with us, He calls us brethren, putting on flesh
To die and destroy the devil, who'd the power of death.
He became no angel, but man, our High Priest who
Suffered trials, and so can assist in ours too.
