Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy : God's grace and peace
To the Thessalonians: our thanks do not cease
To God for you, since your faith grows exceedingly,
And your mutual love abounds! Yea, we glory!
You also patiently endure persecution,
Ones counted worthy to suffer for God's Kingdom.
God will deal righteously with those who trouble you,
When Jesus and His mighty angels appear, to
Punish with flaming fire unbelievers wholly,
And in that day from His saints to receive glory -
Whence we pray God would count you worthy of His call,
That Jesu' Name may be glorified in you all.
