Paul, and Timothy, hailing the fruitful saints of
Colossae; grace, peace; Epaphras has sent your love.
We thank God for you, praying that you may know His will,
Walk worthy, bear good works, and know Him better still;
Strengthened by His pow'r, patient, giving thanks with joy,
Redeemed, forgiv'n through Christ's blood, now in His employ,
Who's God's image, by and for Whom all's made, our Head,
Before all things, the source, and firstborn from the dead.
The blood of His cross reconciles, is all-reaching,
Through which I'm called, suff'ring with joy for you, preaching,
Showing an old myst'ry: Christ, the hope of glory;
Striving to make men whole in Him who works in me.
