Zephaniah

Zephaniah, prophet, ministers in the days
Of the King of Judah Josiah, and he says
Early in the King's reign, before reforms come in,
That there'll be a coming "dread" day of reckoning
For Judah and other nations, but a reward
To all those who humble themselves, and seek the Lord.
His message climaxes in the last chapter, three,
When He declares the Lord's cast out our enemy,
And that He's taken away the judgements 'gainst us -
Words beautifully fulfilled in our Lord Jesus.
He declares that the Lord sings o'er us from above,
And that rejoicing o'er us He'll rest in His love!
