Early Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene came
And saw the grave-covering stone had moved - with this claim
She ran back to Peter and John, who raced to see
The linen that'd wrapped Christ still there, not His body!
They left, Mary wept; then first two angels, then HE
Appeared - the gard'ner, she thought, 'til He said "Mary!"
"Rabboni!" she cried. "Touch me not" Her Lord said
"I've not yet ascended, but the good news - go spread!"
Later on, Christ, saying "Peace" through closed doors came down
And showed His disciples His hands and side - He'd won!
Doubting Thomas, absent, saw Him next time and cried:
"My Lord and my God!" He is alive, who had died!
