See God's love, calling sons, one day like Him to be,
Having this inner hope makes us pure, e'en as He.
Sin (breaking the law) our sinless Lord came to blot,
Those who're abiding in Him, who know Him, sin not.
The devil sinned from the start, sinners have his seeds,
But the Son of God came to destroy the devil's deeds.
Don't be like Cain, who hated his kin, killing too,
Lay down your life for your brother; God did for you.
Show love in deeds, not words. Your heart, not God, condemns;
Have confidence if you're obeying, ask, He sends.
Love each other, believe on Christ - this He commands. Do,
And you'll dwell in Him, He by His Spirit in you.
