I John

1 : fellowship with each other, God, and Christ, urged;
2 : Christ forgives confessed sins; love, obey His words;
3 : abide sinless in Christ; show love when you act;
4 : some spirits antichrist; God's love - Christ proves fact;
5 : we should love God, love His children, and obey;
   believe on Christ for life; ask, receive; for men pray.

This letter is written by the apostle John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, who also wrote the gospel of John. It is a short, but very deep and beautiful piece of writing. The importance of abiding in Christ to be sinless, and the importance of loving each other in and with the love of God are highlighted.
