In ship by shore Christ told the tale of the sow'r's seeds: "Wayside birds, stony ground, and choking thorns kill these." "Why speak ye in parables?" asked the disciples, "So you'll know the kingdom's mysteries, not others! Hark: the devil, trials, and the world's cares stop fruit, Causing the good seeds of God's word not to take root. Tares mixed with wheat meet fire in harvest-time demise, Sinners mixed with the righteous are dealt with likewise. The Kingdom grows like the mustard seed tree, or leav'n, It's like treasure, a pearl...the fishing net of heav'n." On returning home, Christ was spurned where He was known - "A prophet's honoured," He said, "save amongst His own."
